Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors Newsletter
Monday, 23 November 2009 13:58

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors Training, we are currently engaged in two important projects: collecting feedback on the training and providing updates.

Updated Guidance and Handouts

Based on feedback from past users of trainers regarding issues with the training, we are providing updated guidance for those performing the training. New handouts to replace those currently included in the Facilitator’s Guide are also attached.

The updated guidance is divided into two sections. The first section explains general issues that do not correspond to specific pages, and the second section provides guidance on how and when specific suggested changes can be made, with corresponding Facilitator’s Guide page numbers. The updated guidance also includes a list of handouts and the updated training agenda.

The handouts are attached in the Combined Handouts document here. Only the “Emergency Contraception—Mechanism of Action” handout is not included in the “Combined Handouts”, it can be downloaded here.

Word Version of the Survey on Your Experiences

The week before last, you should have received a notice from us about our user survey.  We are currently updating the English version of the training, and we would like to hear about your experiences and opinions in order to make the training as useful as possible.

The survey is now available in two formats: an online version and a word version.  The online version can be found here.

If you have problems with the online version, please use this Word document, which you can download, fill out and email back to us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The survey should take about 15 minutes. If you ARE a trainer (if you have given the Clinical Care training to others) we want to hear about your experience performing the training. If you are NOT a trainer but have been trained using the tool, we want to hear about your experience participating in the training. Please read the survey carefully to see which questions you should answer based on your experience.

Thank you for your help and let us know if you have any problems or questions by emailing Rebecca Gordon at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
